FAQ's

Is dental implant permanent?

If maintained properly, dental implants can last a lifetime. You don’t get any cavities on dental implants and don’t need to see your dentist for the rest of your life for fillings or root canals.
Dental implants are designed to integrate with the jawbone, creating a strong and stable foundation for replacement teeth. Unlike natural teeth, dental implants are not susceptible to decay, making them a long-term tooth replacement solution. Proper oral hygiene and regular dental implant checkups help ensure implant longevity. Many patients choose dental implants because they offer permanent function, comfort, and aesthetics. Dental implants are considered the gold standard for permanent tooth replacement.

Is the procedure painful?

Most patients report very little soreness for the first 3 days. The procedure is minimally invasive, and can be done under sedation or local anesthetic.
Modern dental implant procedures are designed to be as comfortable as possible using advanced surgical techniques. Sedation dentistry allows patients to remain relaxed throughout implant surgery. Most discomfort after dental implant surgery is mild and manageable with prescribed medication. Swelling and soreness typically subside within a few days. Patients often report the implant procedure is easier than expected.

Will I be awake during the procedure?

Being sedated for the dental implant procedure is optional; we have inhouse sedation team that can put you to sleep, so you don’t feel any pain or discomfort during the procedure (don’t even remember it or have any recollection of the procedure).
Patients can choose the level of sedation that best suits their comfort and anxiety level. Dental implant sedation options range from local anesthesia to full IV sedation. Sedation dentistry is commonly used for full-mouth dental implants and All-on-4 procedures. Many patients prefer sedation because it allows the procedure to feel fast and stress-free. Your comfort and safety are prioritized throughout the dental implant surgery.

How long does the procedure take?

The procedure starts early in the morning and lasts through the afternoon.
The exact length of the dental implant procedure depends on the complexity of the case. Full-mouth dental implant procedures typically require several hours to complete. Advanced planning and digital imaging help streamline the implant process. Same-day teeth procedures allow patients to leave with fixed teeth the same day. Your treatment timeline will be reviewed in detail during your consultation.

What is the recovery time?

There’s really no “down time” associated with the procedure. Although you can go back to work right away, many patients opt to take a day or two off before returning to work. The implant site is generally back to normal within 5-7 days.
Dental implant recovery is typically quicker than many patients expect. Most swelling and tenderness resolve within the first week after implant surgery. Following post-operative instructions helps speed healing and reduce discomfort. Dental implants are placed using minimally invasive techniques to promote faster recovery. Many patients resume normal daily activities shortly after treatment.

What is the after care or downtime?

For a few days we ask you to take it easy and not work out; but you can resume working, shopping, driving, the next day.
Post-operative care is important for proper dental implant healing. Patients are advised to avoid strenuous activity during the initial healing period. Maintaining good oral hygiene supports long-term implant success. Soft foods are usually recommended for a short time after surgery. Our team provides detailed aftercare instructions to ensure optimal implant outcomes.

When will I see results?

Patients see the results immediately as they leave the office with a full set of fixed teeth.
Immediate-load dental implants allow patients to enjoy a new smile the same day. Same-day dental implants restore function, comfort, and confidence right away. Final restorations are placed after full healing for optimal strength and aesthetics. Patients often notice immediate improvement in chewing and speech. Dental implants provide both immediate and long-term results.

How much does it cost?

The cost of your procedure will depend on the amount of work that needs to be done (number of extractions, implants, bone grafting etc,..). This will all be assessed during your consultation. Your monthly payment for the full mouth implants will be $195/month.
Dental implant costs vary based on individual treatment needs and complexity. Full-mouth dental implant pricing is customized for each patient. Factors such as implant type, surgical procedures, and restoration materials affect total cost. Financing options are available to make dental implants more affordable. A personalized treatment plan and cost breakdown are provided during your consultation.
