Is the procedure painful?

Patients can choose the level of sedation that best suits their comfort and anxiety level. Dental implant sedation options range from local anesthesia to full IV sedation. Sedation dentistry is commonly used for full-mouth dental implants and All-on-4 procedures. Many patients prefer sedation because it allows the procedure to feel fast and stress-free. Your comfort and safety are prioritized throughout the dental implant surgery.
How long does the procedure take?
The procedure starts early in the morning and lasts through the afternoon. The exact length of the dental implant procedure depends on the complexity of the case. Full-mouth dental implant procedures typically require several hours to complete. Advanced planning and digital imaging help streamline the implant process. Same-day teeth procedures allow patients to leave with fixed teeth the same day. Your treatment timeline will be reviewed in detail during your consultation.
What is the recovery time?
There’s really no “down time” associated with the procedure. Although you can go back to work right away, many patients opt to take a day or two off before returning to work. The implant site is generally back to normal within 5-7 days. Dental implant recovery is typically quicker than many patients expect. Most swelling and tenderness resolve within the first week after implant surgery. Following post-operative instructions helps speed healing and reduce discomfort. What is the after care or downtime?
